Things to do Together!

  • Go for a walk as a family (being sure to stay away from other groups of people)

  • Read stories together or tell each other silly stories

  • Call/video-chat with a relative or family friend

  • Bake or cook together

  • Learn a TikTok dance

  • Find an online yoga/fitness class or create your own workouts

  • Teach each other or work together to learn a new skill - ex. how to knit, how to do a layup, how to draw something, how to cook a favourite meal

  • Play games with each other - ex. board games, video games, pictionary, charades

  • Do something around the house - ex. clean out kitchen cupboards, attack a messy closet, sort through old toys/clothes

  • Create a family schedule

    • Creating a routine can help things feel more "normal" and will allow academic work to be fit in at consistent and predicable times

    • Building in alone or quiet time can give everyone a chance a recharge - try to limit technology during this time

    • Try to plan to do similar activities at the same time daily - ex. play board games before lunch, read together or alone after lunch, walk the dog after breakfast, have "quiet time" after lunch

Thank you for being so understanding in these times
